Lauderhill Fire #30

“The new Fire Station #30, encompassing 8,540 square feet, is designed to meet the critical needs of the Lauderhill community. The facility includes two apparatus bays alongside air-conditioned living quarters for fire-rescue staff, which provide comfortable spaces for both administration and residence. Supporting amenities such as fitness facilities, IT infrastructure, bunker gear storage, medical supply rooms, equipment and supply storage, and laundry services have been thoughtfully incorporated to enhance operational efficiency and firefighter wellbeing.
Built on a tight urban site, this third-generation fire station by our team is engineered to meet stringent hurricane standards, capable of withstanding winds up to 180 mph. It is designed to be self-sustaining for a minimum of 72 hours, ensuring the station remains operational during emergencies and natural disasters. Despite the limited site size, the design successfully balances functionality and comfort, resulting in an inviting, maintainable interior that fosters a sense of camaraderie among firefighters.
The interior design thoughtfully incorporates graphics and displays that celebrate the history and traditions of the firefighting community, inspiring both current staff and new recruits. This project stands as a milestone in resilient infrastructure, combining community support, safety, and readiness to meet the demands of emergency response.”
