Mechanical / Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Engineer

We are currently looking for a highly motivated candidate as a Mechanical / Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Engineer to join our team as we grow. The essential job descriptions and responsibilities include holistic design of plumbing and fire protection systems, including schematic conceptualization, load calculation, equipment selections, layouts or piping, writing specifications, and more.  Designs will result in producing 100% complete construction documents and preparing accurate, well-organized, and detailed CAD drawings from field measurements and notes.  The candidate will be able to meet project budgets, schedules, and performance criteria in a fast-paced environment.  They will actively participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of standards, and criteria, possess an outgoing and positive attitude and take personal pride in producing high quality and on-time designs for our clients.  Qualifications include a four (4) year engineering degree, four (4) to ten (10) years of experience with a Consulting Engineering or A/E firm, experience in HVAC/Plumbing design, experience in completing M/E/P construction design documents utilizing Autodesk Revit, strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills and personal computer skills, strong management skills, and a desire to grow professionally.  This position is available in Roanoke, Richmond, Atlanta, or Miami.
