Pompano Beach Municipal Services

“The Pompano Turnpike Center is an operations and training facility for the Florida Department of Transportation located within one of the existing service plazas. The complex contains district FDOT offices, a hurricane awareness center and storm operations facility, Florida Highway Patrol offices, and a training facility.
We designed the building to recall the scale and palette of previous FDOT projects, such as highway overpasses and other infrastructure projects. The layout is based on a linear circulation gallery with public activities and assembly spaces located to the north, with departmental and employee areas to the south.”
