Rolling Oaks Park

The reinvigorated Rolling Oaks Park is introduced to a vaster audience with a new welcome center and access on Miami Gardens Drive. With the acquisition of a few adjacent parcels, the City of Miami Gardens enlisted the team to rethink and refresh this decades-old recreation locale. New perimeter fencing and precast walls, expanded parking and driveways, upgraded exercise and walking trails and nature preserves, and an “outdoor gym” define the topography. A modern, new site-built 4,683 SF welcome center with a 1,750 SF port-cochere offers administrative spaces, storage, restrooms, and multipurpose rooms designed for community meetings, fitness, and other recreational and social activities. A nearby state-of-the-art playground features highly popular Ninja Extreme Fitness apparatus for children’s play outdoors. Elsewhere, the park sports three rentable pavilions; a reinvented master plan intertwining formerly disparate fitness trails and eight-foot-wide pathways for walkers, joggers, and bicyclists; new basketball and tennis courts and bleachers; and the outdoor “gym” featuring a collection of Extreme Fitness equipment for teens’ and adults’ individual and group enjoyment.
